Totnes

The riverside town of Totnes is next on our Devon sightseeing marathon.

Dating back to 907 AD, this vibrant town is a hotch potch of architectural styles and a bustling independent shopping scene.

Colourful bunting and clapboard housing feel more at home in Britany than in a traditional English town.

Totnes has an amazing array of independent retailers with a focus on fair trade goods, handmade crafts and ethical products. I was only too happy to oblige this sign!

In additional to splurging on trinkets, there’s also some lovely floral sights to take in too.
