I came late to the world of the itchy footed but now spend most of my time day dreaming about my next destination.
My travels around the world are contained in this blog.
I am a truthful traveller, it’s not always plain sailing (or flying, walking or tuc tucing for that matter!).
My blog reflects the unvarnished reality of our travels around the world.
Whether it’s being caught up in terrifying earthquakes in Greece, protests in India or being nibbled by deer in Nara , it’s all here!
I like to think what we do is achievable travel. We’re not made of money and we don’t have excessive amounts of annual leave to squander.
Nevertheless we’ve managed, on some occasions to have four trips in a year!
Anyone can do what we do, given the right amount of determination – and an addiction to scouring Tripadvisor, Booking.com and other sites for the cheapest, best value!
What is behind my fervent desire to plant my feet across the globe? I firmly believe that to travel is to expand the mind.
I’ve been lucky enough to see some incredible sights already, the sun rising at Angkor Wat, sailing down the Saigon River, getting lost in the neon jungle that is Tokyo and watching the mist clear at the Taj Mahal.
But there is always more to see. Peru, Russia and America are next on my list – but it keeps getting longer, not shorter! The more I see, the more I want to see.
It’s not a small world, it’s a big, wild, beautiful, frustrating and amazing one.
I guess that’s the thing about travel, as a wise man once said ““Travelling is the only thing you spend money on that makes you richer”
I’m a snap happy traveller and you can see lots more of my photographs on Flickr
Plus there’s literally 1000s more on my Instagram page here.
