The first beach of the day is Ligaries Beach. A windswept and lonely spot that is empty save us when we arrive.

Getting to the beach can be a bit of a challenge – there’s a dirt road that leads to the beach which is passable with our quad bike but could be a bit of a challenge for the basic hire cars that you usually get from the local car rental shops.

The beach is made up of mainly sand but with stones around the entrance to the sea.
It’s surrounded by lush green hillside that’s covered in trees making it a peaceful and picturesque place to relax for a few hours.
