Wynwood murals

If you have not noticed before, or are new to the blog, I am a huge, almost maniacal fan of wall art.

So I am (and you) in for a visual treat as we head to the Wynwood district of Miami to check out a few of its famed wall murals.

Typically, the actual Wynwood Walls museum is closed!!! This is the paid for open air gallery so beloved of Instagrammers.

It was founded in 2009 to try and revitalise the rather rundown and slightly dodgy area between Downtown and The Design District and covers around 80,000 square feet of abandoned warehouse walks..

But the surrounding streets and neighbourhood have enough colourful sights to satisfy even the most avid of street art fans.

Enjoy this eye-watering photo dump as I can’t even try to whittle down my favourites!!

Stand there and look happy 😊

Got to grab a few snaps with the boy in to show the scale of the artwork.

Definitely worth a visit, and the slightly sketchy area, to snap some colourful paintwork.
