The Miradouro São Leonardo de Galafura offers breathtaking views of the Douro River and terraced vineyards. This viewpoint, celebrated for its natural beauty, also holds cultural significance, featuring a tile panel with a quote by writer Miguel Torga, who praised the Douro as “a geological poem” and “an excess of nature.”

City of Canals, colour, and quiet charm

Aveiro, known as the “Venice of Portugal,” enchants visitors with its scenic canals, pastel architecture, and traditional moliceiro boats. The city’s charm lies in its colorful streets, adorned with Art Nouveau buildings and vibrant ribbons on bridges. Historically significant as a port, it thrived on fishing and salt production.
